EDITION: 2009 Holds the crankshaft in the TDC (top-dead-center) position when installing cams. It threads into the cases in place of the timing hole plug and permits you to snug it up to the flywheels with the timing mark showing through its hollow center. It was designed for use on Sportster® engines which have a tendency to rotate past TDC when changing cams, but it may also be used on Big Twins.
