Great sound, great looks and a removable USFS approved spark arrestor, all add up to more fun with the KFX50 and KFX90. Aluminum is a very lightweight and strong material used extensively in the aerospace, automotive, and of course, powersport industry. Aluminum is a wise choice due to its excellent strength to weight ratio, corrosion resistance and clean look. Lightweight, thin-wall .060 extruded 6061 aluminum alloy that is heat treated to a T-6 condition for increased strength, durability, hardness and finish hold is used. After the aluminum has been heat treated, it is cut to length and given either a polished or brushed satin finish. Ounce for ounce, aluminum is the best value of the M Series mufflers. As a rule the aluminum mufflers weigh about 8.3oz. more than Titanium or Carbon Fiber mufflers. SPARK ARRESTOR: U.S. Forestry Service approved spark arrestors are included with all M-7 V.A.L.E.™ off-road slip-on exhaust systems. These tips mute the exhaust tone slightly with absolutely no loss of horsepower. Additionally, these tips prevent the introduction of foreign matter into the exhaust system FULL SYSTEMS: These systems completely replace the existing OEM exhaust system. This not only adds horsepower but also can drop significant weight from the bike. Two Brothers builds their header systems as a complete unit. The finished system flows better at the collectors which makes more power and does not vibrate on the bike.
